This year’s Magnet site visit will be to Dusseldorf, Germany – a city with a long-standing history with iron and steel. It is an excellent opportunity to visit two parts of the Tata Steel Europe business that you would normally not get to see. On day one, we will visit Hille-Müller, which was founded in 1905 and is now the headquarters of Tata Steel Plating. It was the first company in the world to produce electroplated steel strip. On day two, we will visit Gelsenkirchen, a Tata Steel service centre that delivers hot rolled material to the automotive market. On days two and three we will have sufficient time to soak in some beautiful sites in and around the Dusseldorf city.
The site visit is the perfect place for graduates to meet their counterparts from across Europe, to develop themselves, and to learn more about the company. The trip will take place between September 5-7. It will be partly funded by Magnet and will require a small personal contribution (< €100) towards flights and accommodation. However, everyone who has been on past trips will tell you it is well worth it. We will send out how much the personal contribution is shortly.
If you are intrigued by the description and would like to join, sign up! The number of participants is limited so make sure you apply ASAP to avoid disappointment!
We are looking forward to a great trip!
