Think Tank – Supply Chain

It is time for the third edition of the Think Tank! Do you want to help the management team with a strategic challenge? Work in a cross-functional team and present your solution to higher management?

This editions theme is a supply chain challenge: ‘Improve the flow of slabs and coils on site’

This issue will be approached from three different angles: Supply Chain Fulfilment, Outbound Logistics and On Site Logistics.
Matthé de Vent (Supply Chain), Pieter van Tongeren (Outbound Logistics) and Derk Triezenberg (On Site Logistics) are closely involved and will be the judges to decide on a winner at the end of the challenge.

Key questions to answer during the challenge are:
1. What are the root causes of the problems with the flow of slabs and coils within the chosen areas?
2. Describe the operational and financial risks of these problems.
3. What could be possible solutions for these issue?

The Think Tank will contain 3 central sessions, over a period of 6 weeks. During this period you will collaborate in a team. You are invited to arrange site visits and use your own and available network to get to the bottom of the problem!
